🌏 Project Overview
India Day in Sakai 2025 was a vibrant celebration of India–Japan friendship, organized at the Sakai City Hall Plaza in Osaka.
The event showcased the beauty of Indian culture through dance, music, food, and art, bringing together both Japanese and Indian communities for a day of unity and joy.
Japian Studio was appointed as the creative and promotional partner, responsible for conceptualizing the entire visual identity, handling design and print production, and managing digital communication to elevate the festival’s presence and impact.
Our mission was to visually express the spirit of “Friendship Beyond Borders” — creating a warm, colorful, and inviting atmosphere that reflected India’s diversity with Japan’s elegant design sensibility.

🎨 Creative Direction
We developed a strong event identity that fused Indian vibrance with Japanese simplicity.
The design direction focused on:
- A color palette combining saffron, peacock blue, and cherry blossom pink, symbolizing peace, joy, and harmony.
- Mandala-inspired patterns blended with minimal Japanese geometric forms.
- Clean bilingual typography (English + Japanese) for inclusive communication.
Every piece — from posters to stage banners — carried the same energy of unity and celebration.
Japian Studio designed and produced:
- Event logo & branding system
- Main visual for posters, flyers, and online promotion
- Stage backdrop, banners, and volunteer t-shirts
- Vendor signage, shop cards, and menu boards
- Certificate design for performers & participants
🎤 Event Execution
The festival featured a full day of live performances, workshops, and cuisine experiences, reflecting India’s color and Japan’s hospitality.
Highlights included:
- Classical Indian dance and contemporary music shows
- Japanese drum and Indo-fusion collaborations
- 30+ booths serving Indian street food, tea, and crafts
- Yoga demonstrations, sari trials, and henna art corners
- Official opening with dignitaries and local representatives from Sakai City
Japian’s on-ground support team ensured that all visual and print assets were displayed perfectly across the venue — from entrance gates to main stage, ensuring brand consistency and aesthetic impact.
🖨️ Design & Promotional Deliverables
Japian Studio handled both print and digital media, ensuring seamless branding across all touchpoints:
- Large-format posters for public and city displays
- Digital flyers and SNS countdown visuals
- Event brochure and performance schedule design
- On-site branding (stage banners, shop boards, passes)
- Volunteer and guest lanyards
- Video teaser and photography coordination
The design tone stayed culturally vibrant yet clean — colorful enough to feel Indian, minimal enough to feel Japanese.
📸 Media & Coverage
The event received strong response both online and offline.
Japian’s bilingual visual campaign helped attract hundreds of visitors through Instagram, Facebook, and city event listings.
